About the artist

VERBHAUS collectively represents the work of Claire Lyle, an artist based in Santa Ana, California.  Her medium and style ranges widely, including watercolor, oil painting, graphite, and ink, as well as forays into poetry and other writing.  Claire Lyle graduated from California State University, Fullerton, in 2015, receiving Magna Cum Laude distinction in both of her degrees, Art History, and Drawing and Painting. Her small practice includes commissioned portraiture and personal work, which explores themes of identity, personal experience, and human connection.
